When you finish your lap or whatever it is your doing, hold your wrist out of the water and push whatever buttons you need. I just press em all, no problems so far (fenix 5 plus sapphire), and friends of mine (735xt, 935, 945, fenix 5 plus titanium, vivoactive 3) do the same, no problems so far. mewcenary over 4 years ago. Hi, Bit disappointed. After 3 weeks, the left side buttons on my Fenix 6 Sapphire have gone 'mushy'. All the buttons started off firm and clicky. Now, and in particular the 'Down' button, have gone very squishy with a lot of free play before there is any click. They therefore feel very unresponsive now.

I did the same thing (but the Gulf of Mexico) with my Fenix 6 when I first got it and one of my buttons was squishy for a few days. I just wore the watch into the shower, or washed it in the shower with my body wash.
Still, there are some differences, such as Apple having irregular rhythm notifications (albeit non-continual), whereas Garmin does not. Still, for those needing to do quick spot checks for ECG, this is a huge step forward. Watch & User Requirements: In order to get the ECG app working, you’ll need to have a Garmin Venu 2 Plus watch. It is Garmin's Non-Warrant Return Material Authorization (RMA). I recently requested to do this for my Fenix 6X Pro Solar, and it costs $190. The tech will probably offer you 20% off as well. Not sure what it would cost for the Fenix 5 models, but probably comparable.
