Ford and Mazda share the same engine tech, so whatever is in your mazda 3 is the same engine. The only difference is ford puts different heads on and gets a bit more performance out of the engine at the cost of an MPG or so of efficiency. Unless it's a turbo car, then the Mazdaspeed 3 will explode if you get into boost on a bogged down engine.
Ford Motor Co. knowingly launched two low-priced, fuel-efficient cars with defective transmissions and continued selling the troubled Focus and Fiesta despite thousands of complaints and an
Fiesta is likely to be lower cost of ownership (cheaper maintenance plus better mpg), focus can have equipment not available on fiesta (eg electric rear windows). Look at the individual cars though - both have been in production for many years at many trim levels.
Keep in mind that a good number of the ones you find online are bootlegs of expensive copyrighted materials, so this is kind of like looking for the best sources for stolen parts. For example a full FSM for a newer Lexus is a five volume set that’s about a foot thick and cost upwards of $700, and the workshop manuals for Audi, BMW or Mercedes
Google says it's a roughly 8 second 0-60 and 16 second 1/4 mile. It probably handles corners great but that is in a straight line. 150hp isn't that much. Ford has trucks that are faster than that by a good margin. Heck my 8000lb crew cab diesel on 37" tires would hang with that car in a straight line. woody1147 •.
Ford Fiesta are a nice car to drive. You’ll probably have a lot of suggestions about getting a cheap old car but honestly they are death traps. One thing to bear in mind is the safety of the car, it’s easy to find the rating online. The road is a dangerous place, stay safe! commonmuck1.
3onW4R. Bloody hell, things got a bit fiery here 🤣 well as much as I would love all of those suggested cars I have £8k (Great British pounds) to spend on a new car or $11000 for the yanks. I came to the st or 208 for the milage and the decent performance, nice and nippy good mpg 50+ on the motor way and relatively well priced.
A bit more room and sporty. 4. mynhamesjeff. • 1 yr. ago. Personally I think the fiesta has more liveliness and feels more peppy. More head room but less lateral leg room and the rear seats are basically useless. OP I would test both and a GTI before you decide. 4. stilhere.
I had a 2010 Ford Fiesta and it was indestructible. Really cute too and had moodlights. It was totaled in 2017, but I got about 30mpg on it. My bf’s sister has a 2008 model and has pretty good city mileage on it too. Def check with your local car dealer on price though if you’re interested. Good luck!
